The Firm

Founded in 2019 by Lizzie Bailey and Laura Stanley, STORY STREET STUDIO started with offices and projects in New York and Montana.

In 2026, Lizzie took over as sole principle.   The firm continues to work on projects around the country, from its new base in Cornwall, CT in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.

Background

Lizzie began her career with a formative stint as a Market Editor at House & Garden Magazine.  She went on to manage Gerald Bland’s influential art and antiques gallery in Manhattan before honing her craft in interiors by working for over six years as senior designer for renowned Elle Décor A-list designer, Katie Ridder.  Lizzie grew up outside of New York City and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Princeton University, and an Associates Degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design.
